Todays compilation regarding Biden*s Ministry Of Truth
Jankowicz wrongly cast doubt on intelligence saying Iran tried to hurt Trump reelection»»
The Biden administration’s new disinformation czar wrongly undercut the U.S. intelligence community’s assessment that Iran was attempting to hurt then-President Donald Trump’s reelection chances just before the 2020 vote.
Nina Jankowicz, a disinformation fellow at the Wilson Center, will be the executive director of the Department of Homeland Security’s Disinformation Governance Board.
In October 2020, she tweeted, gave media interviews, and wrote op-eds downplaying Iranian election influence efforts in 2020, with critiques repeatedly lobbed at then-Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe.
The Biden Office of Director of National Intelligence agreed with the Trump ODNI’s thoughts on Iran trying to hurt Trump.
CNN’s Brian Stelter: Biden’s Ministry of Truth Just Sounds Like Common Sense To Me»»
In just the latest segment to unintentionally further demonstrate why CNN+ failed miserably, host Brian Stelter decided to reframe the Biden administration’s new Disinformation Governance Board/Ministry of Truth as nothing more than a “Fox News story” while his guest described the Board as just “basic government bureaucracy.”
“Here in the U.S., there’s been an uproar recently about the Department of Homeland Security setting up what they call a Disinformation Governance Board. This has been mostly a Fox world story… I want to let people know what it is and what it isn’t, and there just has been a lot of right-wing uproar about what it is,” Stelter said on his show that doesn’t even crack 100,000 viewers.
Stelter’s guest Moria Whelan bolstered his argument while deploying a time-honored political debate technique called “lying,” claiming the board is “meant to bring together people to coordinate a lot of the efforts inside of DHS, that means law enforcement… emergency services like FEMA, they’ve all been doing counter disinformation efforts for a while to give us accurate information about human rights abuses, but also about disasters and where people can get assistance. So coordinating that activity, making it speak with one voice, and being a stronger advocate to tech companies and engaging the public in academia, that’s really what they’re after.”
“That sounds like common sense!” a clueless Stelter replied.
